Global Placement Firm is recruiting Certified Medical Assistants for full-time opportunities supporting military members, their families, and retired veterans throughout the San Diego area.

  • Additional San Diego clinical assignments

Specific placement depends on current openings and candidate qualifications.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
  • Assist licensed providers with examinations, diagnostic testing, and procedures within your training and authorized scope.
  • Support patient check-in, scheduling, referrals, laboratory requests, imaging coordination, and follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain supply inventory, equipment readiness, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality.
  • Depending on assignment, assist with injections, immunizations, nebulizer treatments, blood draws, and other clinical procedures after required training and competency verification, under provider direction.
  • In surgical specialty assignments, assist with procedure preparation, specimen handling, wound care, dressing changes, and patient education as authorized.

What You'll Bring

  • Completion of a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, ACCSC, ACICS, ACCET, or ACCJC, or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Current medical assistant certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants, registration through American Medical Technologists, or another qualifying formal program.
  • At least one year of experience within the past two years as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Ability to pass the required government background check and meet applicable security requirements.
  • Strong patient communication, organizational, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in primary care, internal medicine, pediatrics, or outpatient clinical settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and scheduling systems.
  • For surgical specialty assignments, experience in procedural or hospital settings, particularly ENT, plastic surgery, or maxillofacial surgery.

Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Eight working hours per day, plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
  • Exact start and end times vary by clinic assignment.
  • No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call duties for these positions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $22.97–$27.00 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, and location.
  • $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates, subject to program terms and a one-year service commitment; paid after 90 days of service.
