Global Placement Firm is partnering with a respected commercial mechanical services company in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to identify a skilled Commercial HVAC/R Technician experienced in the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Position Summary

As a Commercial HVAC/R Technician, you will:

• Diagnose, service, and repair commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers, freezers, split systems, rooftop units (RTUs), and rack refrigeration systems.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues with precision and professionalism.

• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, diagnostics, and repair notes.

• Communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and customers to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, and installations on commercial HVAC/R systems.

• Identify and resolve system performance issues quickly and efficiently.

• Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and local building codes.

• Support system upgrades, retrofits, and component replacements as needed.

• Represent both the client company and Global Placement Firm with professionalism and integrity.

Desired Skills & Competencies

Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, including split systems, RTUs, and rack systems.
Problem-Solving Ability: Skilled in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and system optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration equipment.

• EPA Universal Certification (required).

• Hands-on experience with split systems, rooftop units, walk-in coolers & freezers, and rack refrigeration systems.

• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work in field environments.
