About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and compassionate Director of Nursing Inpatient Services to join a progressive healthcare organization committed to excellence in patient care. Reporting directly to the
Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), this role provides strategic and operational leadership across inpatient units to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered nursing care.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader with a passion for clinical excellence, staff development, and operational performance within an acute care hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and direction for all inpatient nursing units to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Collaborate with the CNO and executive team to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Lead quality and safety initiatives to achieve and maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, training, and evaluation of clinical staff to promote engagement and professional growth.
- Manage staffing levels, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement through evidence-based practice, data analysis, and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and compassionate service.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)**
- Required: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)**
Licensure/Certifications
- Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager, full-time charge nurse, or related leadership position.
- Demonstrated success in managing inpatient clinical operations and leading diverse nursing teams.
